Living In Bend, Oregon Winter Photography Recap 2015/2016

Mckenzie River Winter Central Oregon

The Pacific Northwest this year was pounded with snow. Mt Bachelor a lone received 478 inches since October 1st. It was a great year to be in Bend and a landscape photographer. Both Nate and I made several trips all over the Pacific Northwest in chase of winter landscapes. A few highlights of mine were skiing Mt Bachelor, driving to the Bend airport and shooting aerial photos with Nate all in the same day. The winter can turn any river, mountain, waterfall, and stream into a surreal experience.

Winter is also a great time for us to reflect on our previous work, catch up on post processing from the summer, and plan out our next trips. It was also an exciting time for us to ramp up Bend Oregon Stock. Recently we started offering full resolution photos and integrated Amazon Web Services into our site. This is exciting because soon we will be able to not only offer full resolution photos, but also video. Expect to see us rolling that out in the next month.

For the nerds out there Amazon Web Services has been a breeze for us to integrate and very cost effective. I highly recommend using AWS for any website. Some other exciting news is that Nate and I will be looking into offering photography workshops during the summer. We are thinking of starting very small with post processing tips/techniques and expanding into day tours.

Thanks to everyone who has helped us out with Bend Oregon Stock and we can’t wait to get things off the ground this summer. Take a look at some of our winter photos below. All available for purchase.
